In AW9ACE 7Up 7Down, two dice are rolled and you bet on their total. 7Up wins on 8 or more, 7Down wins on 6 or less, and Lucky 7 wins on exactly 7. On fair dice, 7Up and 7Down each hit about 41.7% of the time, and Lucky 7 hits about 16.7%. Neither side is a coin flip, and the reason is worth a minute.

The full odds table

Two dice land 36 ways. Here's how those ways split across totals.

TotalWaysBet that wins
217Down
327Down
437Down
547Down
657Down
76Lucky 7
857Up
947Up
1037Up
1127Up
1217Up

Add it up: 7Down has 15 ways, 7Up has 15, Lucky 7 has 6. A 7 is the likeliest single total, and it's also what beats both big sides. That's why betting Up or Down wins less than half the time.

Why the payout screen matters

Those percentages show how often a bet wins. What it pays is a separate number, and that's on the game's own screen. Lucky 7 has to pay much more than the others to make up for hitting less. Look at all three payouts before you bet, and remember that games like this are priced so the house keeps an edge over time.

A round on AW9ACE

  1. Choose your chip while the timer runs.
  2. Tap 7Up, 7Down or Lucky 7.
  3. The dealer rolls two dice.
  4. The total decides it, and the next timer starts soon after.

Labels and layout can vary a little, and the rounds are quick. Check your chip before the timer ends.

Streaks don't mean anything

Dice don't remember. After six 7Ups in a row, the next roll is still 15 in 36 for each side. Streaks also look stranger than they are. A 7Up bet loses five rolls running about 7% of the time, so you'll see that often if you play for a while.

That number is why doubling after a loss hurts. Start with ₹10 and five losses cost you ₹310, with ₹320 needed for the next try. One ordinary bad patch can finish a session.

Betting all three?

Covering every outcome means one bet wins and two lose on each roll. You haven't removed any risk, you've only paid for three bets to watch one come in. Our post on winning tricks covers more of these ideas.

A sensible way to play it

  • Fix your chip size for the session.
  • Count your rounds, because they pass fast.
  • Keep Lucky 7 as a small side bet at most.
  • Stop when the budget is gone, and don't recharge mid-session.
