The AW9ACE APK asks for a short list of permissions, and the list is more useful than any review. We read it straight from the 31 MB file, version 1.0.1. It covers internet, network state, notifications, wake lock, push, in-app update installs, and media or storage on old Android only. There's no contacts, SMS, camera, location or microphone anywhere in it.

What each permission is for
| Permission | In plain words | Can you say no? |
|---|---|---|
| Internet, network state | Loads games, checks you're connected | Android grants these on install |
| Notifications, push | Lets the app send alerts | Yes, in Android settings |
| Wake lock | Stops the screen sleeping during a round | Android grants this on install |
| Install packages | Lets the app bring in its own update | Android asks you first |
| Media images, storage | Old Android versions only | Yes |
The one that looks scary
Install packages is the line people stop at, and fair enough. Here it exists for in-app updates. It means the app can offer you a new version of itself. Android still shows you its own prompt, and you can refuse. An app with this permission isn't installing things in secret on a normal phone.
What the list tells you, and what it doesn't
It tells you the app can't read your messages, see your contacts or track your location through Android. That's a real limit, and a good one. It doesn't tell you anything about the money side. Anything you type into the app yourself, like your number or bank details, goes to AW9ACE because you gave it. So permissions are only one check, and the Is AW9ACE safe guide covers the rest.
How to see permissions on your own phone
- Open Settings, then Apps.
- Find AW9ACE in the list.
- Tap Permissions.
Menu names change a little between phone brands. If you see contacts, SMS, camera, location or microphone on an app called AW9ACE, you're not holding the file we read. Uninstall it. Then follow our steps to check an AW9ACE APK before you install again.
Popups that aren't permissions
Android will also warn you about the install itself, because the app comes from outside the Play Store. That's about the source of the file, and it shows up for any APK. Separately, a pop-up inside a website asking you to "allow" something is the browser, and you can decline it.
Questions people ask
Why does a game app want notifications?
Mostly for alerts about offers and updates. It's your call. Turning them off won't stop the app working, and it may help if you find alerts pull you back in.
Does the app read my OTP texts?
Not through Android. There's no SMS permission in the file, so you type any code yourself.
What about storage on a new phone?
The media and storage entries apply to old Android versions only, so a current phone shouldn't show them at all.
A clean permission list says nothing about your chances in a game. AW9ACE is for adults 18 and over, and the money you play with is at risk.
